Riverdale Baptist Church is a joyful assembly of Christians, set apart to carry on the work of local, regional, and worldwide evangelism through the preaching of the gospel. Additionally, we seek to be firmly grounded in faith through the teaching and preaching of the Bible.

The church’s mission is to strive for what the Bible describes in Ephesians 3:21
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
In short, we strive to lift up Jesus Christ in worship, to grow to be like Christ in conduct, and to lead others to a saving knowledge of Christ.
Since Christ is the Head of the church, its vision is set forth in what Jesus commissioned the church to do in Matthew 28:19-20 and Acts 1:8:
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Pastor Timothy Flynn has been serving since 2005. He and his wife Kristen have three daughters; Madison, Lindsey and Peyton. He studied at Liberty University and further attended Baptist Bible Graduate School of Theology for a Masters Degree.

Ken Pollard is the Children’s Director. Ken is an NJIT graduate, is married to Blessing and together serve the Lord in the children’s ministries. Ken is also a deacon and enjoys athletics.

In 1948, a growing fellowship of believers decided that they should organize into a local New Testament church. Through prayer and the leadership of the Lord, the town of Riverdale was chosen and two lots of land were purchased. The first building was constructed largely by the men of church. The Lord richly blessed, and in 1952, the rapidly growing congregation built the Education building on the adjoining lot to create Sunday School space. By God’s grace, the His word has been faithfully taught and preached through the years. Multitudes have been reached through the local ministry and global missions of Riverdale Baptist Church.
We value the Bible. It is given by inspiration and kept by preservation. The Word of God is the final authority on every subject, for conduct and doctrine. We teach and preach from the King James Bible.
We value the Trinity. We believe God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are coequal, coeternal, and coexistent.
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 1 John 5:7
We value salvation through Jesus Christ by grace through faith apart from works. Jesus is the only way to Heaven, and there is no way to be reconciled to God apart from the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and by trusting Him alone to save.
We value the family as created by God according to the Book of Genesis and further established by Jesus Christ Himself in the Gospel of Matthew. That is that God created male and female and sanctioned only one man and one woman to become husband and wife.
